Historic Virgo Bay is the takeoff site of S.A. Andrée's failed attempt to reach the North Pole via air balloon in 1897. My own Arctic folly was navigating a drone from a tall ship through a web of one hundred-plus lines rigged from its masts. Fortunately, this latter flight did not end in disaster.
